     This training will instruct a response team what actions to take when  confronted with an active shooter, how to respond to law enforcement officials,  how to recognize workplace violence indicators, how to prevent and prepare  for potential shooter incidents, and how to manage the consequences of an  incident. This course will include an Emergency   Action Plan, the study of active shooter statistics, lessons learned from   previous Active Shooter events, a review of the Run-Hide-Fight homeland security   recommendations, group exercises and hands-on Active Shooter scenarios

 An instructor-led arc flash training course that teaches workers how remain   safe when working around electrically energized equipment. This course will help companies fulfill   ISHA 29 CFR Part 1910, Subpart S Electrical and NFPA 70E to reduce liability   for the employer. Trainers will cover   topics such as Electrical Hazards, Safety Related Work Practices, Maintenance   Requirements, and more. The course   will provide an overview of electrical safety and hazards, as well as safety   related work practices such as establishing safe work conditions and securing   energized work permits.

Confined Space Entry Competent Person - English/Spanish

 This course will instruct workers on OSHA’s requirements for confined space in construction/hazard recognition.  Confined Space training outlines the skills and protocols for safe entry to confined spaces, and includes precautions such as locking and tagging out connecting piping, testing of breathable air quality, forced ventilation, observation of workers in the space, and a predetermined rescue plan with appropriate safety harnesses and other rescue equipment standing by.

It will remind workers who have taken Confined Space in the past how to control entry to confined spaces, rescue procedures, and practical training involving escape and entry—as well as all other training from the CT-1907 course.

Confined Space Emergency Rescue Level 1-English/Spanish

 This course will cover the Cal OSHA requirements for confined space rescue, discuss rescue duties, conduct pre-planning rescue assessment, review worker protective gear, create and review a rescue plan, overview non-entry rescue vs. entry rescue, teach first aid for the victim, review extraction techniques, and go over reporting requirements. This will be done through hands-on instructor led teaching, and a stimulated rescue scenario. Students must have training on Permit required confined space entry with knowledge and skills on using 4 gas atmospheric monitors, equipment, and PPE required for entry.

DOT Haz-Mat Training-English

 This course will provide the information and skills needed to be familiar with Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations as a hazmat employee. It is required that every three years, employees who perform work functions covered by Hazardous Materials Regulations need to be trained. This course will cover Hazardous Materials Regulations, Emergency Response information, loading and unloading, segregation, incident reporting, maintenance of information, how to protect employees from hazards, and security awareness training.

     This course will cover   the same topics as CT-1913, but it will also teach Hazardous Materials Regulations,   how to classify hazardous materials, proper packaging, documenting materials,   proper marking-labeling-placarding ,proper handling of materials, how to handle  accidents & incidents, managing Hazmat Training Audits, and creating and   following hazardous material security checklists.

DOT Drug & Alcohol for Supervisors

 This is a comprehensive training program that teaches supervisors to recognize suspicious activity and behavior, as well as gain an understanding of industry terms and protocols. The course will enable supervisors to determine whether suspicion exists to require an employee to undergo testing in order to avoid safety risks.

Fall Protection Competent Person-English/Spanish

 This class enables the attendee to be responsible for the immediate supervision, implementation, and monitoring of a managed fall protection program. Upon completion of this course, employees will receive a certificate recognizing the completion of the training required to meet OSHA and ANSI requirements as a Competent Person and Competent Inspector and Trainer. It will include slides, video, and hands-on scenarios applying theory to practical workplace situations. Topics such as fall prevention, OSHA regulations, fall arrest systems, hazard recognition, walking work surface regulations, and personal fall arrest systems and more will be covered.

This course serves as an annual refresher for students who have completed   24- or 40-hour HAZWOPER training. It will cover hazardous substances, waste, incidental vs. emergency response   spills, hazardous release, HazMat Team Member roles, decontamination,   chemical hazard information, safety date sheets, GHS Chemical Labeling, Hazardous   Waste Regulations and more. This   course will utilize the JJ Keller HAZWOPER Employee Handbook and other tools   to reduce liability concerns for the employer while establishing a culture of   safe work practices among employees.

HAZWOPER 40 Hour- English

     This  will cover in detail the regulatory and training requirements of the   Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response Title 8 CCR §5192 (29 CFR   1910.120) standard. This course is specifically designed to prepare workers   who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, operations   involving hazardous waste sites that are conducted at treatment, storage and   disposal facilities regulated by RCRA or by other agencies implementing RCRA   regulations, and emergency response operations for releases of, or   substantial threats of releases of, hazardous substances regardless of the   location of the hazard. It will cover   topics such as hazards of release, potential outcomes, medical surveillance,   chemical hazards and much more.

FRA—Cal OES CSTI State Cert. HAZMAT First Responder Awareness

  First respondents at the awareness level are individuals who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous substance release and who have been trained to initiate an emergency response sequence by notifying the proper authorities of the release. Employees who take this course will be able to identify how hazardous materials are harmful, recognize a HazMat incident and approach it safely, describe first responder awareness actions, identify the purpose and need to safely initiate command. After the successful completion of a CSTI certified First Responder Awareness written exam, each participant will be issued a state certificate from CSTI/Cal OES.

Duration: 8 Hours

 This training focuses on tactics a responder can use to protect persons, the environment, and property from the effects of a hazardous substance release. Employees will learn to define basic terms used in emergency responses to releases of hazardous materials, describe basic first responder operations initial actions, properly react to scene management, demonstrate the use of the current Department of Transportation North American Emergency Response Guidebook for basic action planning, identify the need for decontamination and proper coordination with agencies. They will also be able to describe the health effects that HazMat present to the first responder’s life safety and identify the legal rights of the media at a HazMat incident. After the successful completion of a CSTI certified First Responder Operations written exam, each participant will be issued a state certificate from CSTI/Cal OES.

IC—Cal OES CSTI State Cert. HAZMAT Incident Commander (IC requires FRO as a Prerequisite)

  Incident commanders will learn to assume control of the incident scene beyond the first responder awareness level. The Incident Commander is responsible for directing and/or controlling resources by virtue of explicit legal, agency, or delegated authority, as well as the overall management of the response.

This course provides the tools a person needs to assume control of an emergency response to a hazardous materials incident. Instructional methods include class activities, case studies and tabletop exercises with emphasis on hands-on decision making. It will cover topics such as the roles of an incident commander, writing incident objectives, identification and hazard assessment techniques, selecting safe containment and control methods to stabilize a hazardous materials incident, personnel safety, and more. Upon successful completion of a CSTI certified Incident Commander written exam with a minimum passing score of 70% correct, each participant will be issued a state certificate from CSTI/Cal OES.

Duration: 16 Hours

LOTO Authorized Competent Person (Hands On) - English/Spanish

     This  training will instruct workers on the proper lockout/tagout procedures for   equipment specific to their workplace. They will understand the purpose, function, and restriction of the energy   control program and how to control hazards. Upon completion workers will possess the knowledge and skills   necessary for the safe application, use, and removal of equipment. With the supervisor of our trainers,   students will have the opportunity to practice LOTO procedures hands-on.
